Sergio, it’s an honour for us to be sponsoring probably the nicest guy ever. What can you tell us about your relationship with LaxoDesign?

I had the opportunity to get to know Lassi through the surf school I work for on the north shore of Oahu. We had a really great time together and I was able to pass on a little bit of my “surf knowledge” onto him during his one week there. I was not only able to teach him about surf, but we formed a friendship and now partnership with his ideas and new designs for his company in Switzerland.

We heard you have been on a surfboard since you were born. Is that right?

Oh yeah baby! Basically the moment I was born my family threw me into the ocean, and I started surfing at the age of 4. I started not on a nice board though like the kids today…I started on pieces of wood and large Styrofoam lids. I only got my first new surfboard when I was 13, after winning my first competition. It makes all the difference…
